Phytotherapy is another of the crucial tools of TCM. However, very few professionals use it in the West. By itself, and applied correctly, phytotherapy can restore the balance and health of a person, sometimes without the need to be complemented with acupuncture or other techniques.
Based on the same principles as dietetics, it mainly uses plants (roots, leaves, fruits and other parts), which have the capacity to generate a concrete effect on the body. It can be taken in the form of decoctions (infusion), plants very finely mashed or pills.
Chinese phytotherapy can only be prescribed for a professional, since when it is incorrectly managed, it can be counterproductive.
